On this page lies an Opportunity To Get In The Best Shape Of Your Life
My name is Michael Duivis and I've put together my Strong Life Transformation Program for people who have tried the 'quick-fix' solutions in the past, and have ZERO desire of going that route again.
And in particular, Latina Moms
Moms because...
I feel like most of them are being lied to on what really works to get in shape

They put themselves second, often working full-time jobs, rarely having time for themselves.

Then habits slip, and they seek fitness advice - only to be sold all the latest magic pills, fat burners, fad diets, waist trainers, and other stuff that overpromises and never delivers.

Moms don't have time to figure this stuff out on their own (they're an easy target for the quick-fix-industry)

And even though many have kids who actually give good advice...

Moms won't take it...
Despite my vehement claims against it, my Mom did a liquid shake one time.

(she lost 40 lbs... and gained it back when she started eating real again)
why LATINA Moms though?

Long story short...

My whole family is Dutch.

My Mom was born in 1947 in Amsterdam, and decided to travel to USA as an au-pair in the 70's

In 83 she had me (in USA), and we moved back to Holland when I was 8

Then after I graduated college in Holland, we both moved back to USA

I got a job as an engineer, but I absolutely hated it

At the time, I was starting to get into fitness - and I was always flirting with the idea of becoming a personal trainer

So, I decided to burn my bridges, and switch careers

After being in a big gym for a couple years, I decided to open my own gym

And I wound up, in...

Norwalk, CA

In case you're not familiar - the demographics here are 99% Hispanic. And most of my clients were Moms.

So I've been training mostly Latina Moms since 2010.

THAT DOESN'T MEAN I have a zero calorie recipe for Enchiladas

And my Mom never threw her slippers at me

But I do flip tortillas on the stove with my bare hands

And I know how to get Latina Moms the results they're after

Latina Moms want to make it a lifestyle
99.9% of the Latina Moms I've coached all had tried quick fixes in the past

Or at the very least, they've all tried to lose weight fast in the past

And that's good

Because now they know quick fixes and fad diets never work

Who am i anyway?
Well I’m the greatest trainer in the world. That’s what my Mom would've said.
But really, I’m just a regular person like you.
At the time of writing this I’m 39, and it took me years of hard work and sacrifice to climb out of the emptiness that was my early 30’s.
I also know quite a bit about building muscle while staying lean - here’s my story:

At the time of writing this I’m 39, and it took me years of hard work and sacrifice to climb out of the emptiness that was my early 30’s.
I also know quite a bit about building muscle while staying lean - here’s my story:

I Was Born In California, And I Was A Chubby Kid
But I didn’t really feel that until I moved to Holland at the age of 8.

My Mom was Dutch. Never knew my Dad. And my whole family is Dutch.

And kids in Holland are fit

They ride bicycles and play soccer every day. And for dinner they eat steak and potatoes mixed with Kale.
And there I was. I liked Nachos.

But they didn't have 7-11 in Holland.

So I started eating like a Dutch boy (which probably saved me from eating too many Twinkies had I stayed in America).

But still, even though I was riding bicycles, learned how to ice skate, and became an avid supporter of Ajax Amsterdam - I was always picked last at soccer games.

    (and that’s a big deal)

It was always my dream to get a 6-pack
Maybe it was because I was never in the greatest shape as a kid. Or because I thought it would get me the girls.

But in my early twenties I decided to JUST DO IT.

I decided to study weight loss, muscle building, and nutrition until I got it right.

It took me 3 years of trial and error (this was before internets and iphones)

And eventually I succeeded in getting that lean body I wanted.
This was right before I moved back to USA 🇺🇸

I got my Aerospace Engineering degree in Amsterdam. And my Mom and I both felt the 'land of the free' calling our names.

Holland was great. But that cold weather was cold.

And America... America was the land of opportunity 🦅

I wanted me a Corvette! Or a Mustang, at least.

So I moved, had $90 in my bank account, and landed an engineering job…

… and I was put in a cubicle.
I hated that cubicle. I hated that job.

Or put differently, I 'liked it in small doses'

However, the universe handled that.  I was laid off 4 months into it.

And that was a blessing in disguise, because:

I Had Always Wanted To Be A Personal Trainer...
I mean, they have the best job in the world. They prevent illness and make people better.

    (better than what Doctors do!)

And if you're going to live in America, you might as well do what you love.

    (something not involving TPS Reports)

Long story short - I had no money, but also didn't want to go back to being an engineer.

So I applied at over 14 of those big gyms. And got hired at one of my last interviews because they were short on trainers.

"If it doesn't workout, you can always work at the Juice Bar"  - my manager at the time.

I Didn't Come To America To Make Smoothies
So I hustled hard. And I loved it.

Got all the certifications, went to all the seminars, and built up a clientele. Then after 2 years I left to ‘start my own thing’.

I had no idea what 'my own thing' was going to be.

This was when 1-on-1 training was the only known solution.

It was going to be a fitness training service. And my original plans were to name it something complicated in Dutch or Latin.

But as I was training one of my clients at the time - she said:

    "Why don't you...
    just, like...
    call it... ,
    straight up... you know,
    like, FITNESS?"

So... I got myself a DBA and called my business 'Straight-Up Fitness'.

And I started driving to clients at their homes. With adjustable dumbbells and an inflatable exercise ball in the trunk of my car.

    It Was Not Easy...
I probably spent more in gas than I made from training. And oatmeal was all I could afford.

I told my Mom I was just fine. And eventually all that hustle & grind led me to start an indoor bootcamp

(this was long before 'bootcamps' were a thing).

The heaviest Dumbbells we had were 20 lbs

And every day was basically Cardio 😃
    This made me think...

Why do I lift weights elsewhere for my own workouts...

And we only do cardio for our own clients?

    It made no sense.

So I introduced heavy weights into our workouts.

Squat racks, Barbells, all that stuff. And made my gym somewhere I would want to workout myself.

This is when bald eagles started soaring over my head, and I finally started eating more than just oatmeal.

We had everyone working out exactly as I wanted:

🏋️ Heavy Weights, 🏃‍♂️ Short Cardio, 🥩 Real Food
Thanks to an awesome staff and amazing clients, we grew to 3 locations, with 15 trainers, serving over 1,000 clients every month.

    And things were good...

However my life changed forever when my Mom passed away due to Ovarian Cancer.
I was 31 at the time...

I had a business. Did my own laundry. Made my own bed.

    (I was responsible)

But for my emotional well-being I depended on my Mom being there.

(She was all I ever had).

I didn't know how to process it, so I did what most men do...

I didn't process it at all.

    I Went Full Clint Eastwood
Put on my stiff upper lip, and stayed 'busy'.

Kept working. Opened 2 more gym locations. Bought a nice house. Tried to fill my 'void' with cars and motorcycles.

    I was avoiding it though

In the whole first year that passed, I hadn't even looked at old photo albums of us together. I didn't want to go through the pain of processing it.

2, 3, 4 years passed and I thought I was coping just fine.

But inside I started to burn out.

On a personal level I was becoming stagnant, and...

I Felt Like I Was Letting Her Down
It took me 5 years to realize I probably needed to process it.

So I built up the courage to actually go through an old photo album...

Little did I know, she had written me notes at each picture

And my 'Clint Eastwood-act' went down Niagara Falls.

    But:

"The strongest thing a man can do is cry, to expose your feelings, to be vulnerable in front of the world. That's real strength" - Jay Z

It was an emotional couple of days, but by dealing with it - I had a breakthrough.

For the previous 5 years, the child in me refused to move on

I was being a kid, running away from it.

Keeping everything inside, wondering why this happened TO me...

Why is it that she had to leave when I was 31 - while other 50-year old guys don't even call their Mom for Christmas?

    But after getting vulnerable...

I changed my perspective. And I viewed it as it happened FOR me.
Life presented me this situation for me to accept, and I leaned into it.

Her last words were to "keep going" and I'd disappoint her if I didn't do just that.

Needless to say, at the brink of burning out...

I started living 'in the moment'
And this is when everything changed

See your ego LOVES your past and future

As in... it loves bringing you resentment, guilt, sadness, and regret from your past.

And fear + anxiety for your future.

It's not till you recognize that the 'present' is the only time you have, that you stop living in 'lack'

Everything you ever wanted, you already have right now
But you need to find it within you

You do that by controlling the thoughts that go into your mind. Because thoughts become things, and the only time you can manifest what you want in the future is this very instant.

And no matter how terrible your past was, be grateful for it brought you to where you are right now

And you can either own it, get creative, and build.

Or complain, and cope in unhealthy ways.

Aside From Getting In Shape - What I Love Most Is Seeing My Clients Avoid:
      • Stagnancy - Being 'stuck' in everything, getting weaker every year
      • Drifting - Letting society take you wherever it wants
      • Settling - Being happy with 'ok' when you really wanted GREAT
It's what you do right NOW that determine how your life unfolds.

And if you're stuck, you’ll only get worse if you do nothing.

With all my clients, my dedication is to have them lose fat, build muscle, and feel great.

But looking beyond that - you'll also increase your capacity so you can stop wasting the little time you have left on earth.

Are you going to stay the same? (get worse)

Or are you going to take control of your life and become who you’re meant to be?
Here's what you can expect when coaching with me:
In my coaching program you will not only get into the best shape of your life, you will also learn how to eat what you want, train smarter than before, and make this a lifestyle you enjoy.

After all, if you can't stick with it for the rest of your life, why bother?

It's time we end the yo-yo methods and focus on making this a lifestyle change. And lose 20 lbs in doing so.
      • You will lose 20 lbs - I will keep coaching you until you hit that mark, and 2 weeks afterwards
      • You will increase muscle definition - in all the right places
      • You will keep eating your favorite foods while leaning out - anything goes as long as you follow my specific instructions
      • You will become proud of what you see in the mirror - while building a resilient mindset that doesn't recognize failure
      • Your hormones will optimize, putting you in a good mood more often - and your metabolism will fly through the roof
      • You will get stronger and lift heavier weights than ever before - adding at least 10-20 lbs on the big lifts
      • You will get in the absolute best shape of your life - while learning what to eat and how to make it a lifestyle
      Here's how my program works:
You will receive 24/7 access to me and my team for however long it takes you to lose 20 lbs (and an additional 2 weeks).

After filling out my assessment, I will tell you exactly what to eat, how many calories to stick to, and give you my favorite healthy recipes that taste so good you will wonder how they're even healthy.

I will take you to school on everything you need to know and understand about nutrition, exercise, and mindset - so you not only engrain healthy habits in your own life, but become a role model to those around you

You will be given a customized workout routine for your goals that you will perform on your schedule, with video demonstrations and easy tracking methods so you make constant improvements

Every week you will check in with me through a form that will be sent to your email. This will tell me how you're doing and what you need help with. I will then give you specific instructions either through video or phone call.

You will be added to my private group of other Strong Life participants, and every Tuesday I host a live Zoom call to share wins, ask questions, and overcome obstacles.

Every single piece of content, meal plan, recipe, or workout I provide you will be followed with a quiz. This shows me you 100% understand it, and by providing the right answers to the quiz you can earn points for bonus gifts.

you will go through 4 Phases:
Phase 1 - you will learn what calories and macros are, and how much to have of each food to get the results you're after. This will be specific to you, your body type, activity level, and goals. And of course, the foods you like :)

Phase 2 - will come very quickly, here you will start measuring the foods you're eating in the easiest way possible (a 3-year old could do it). This will help me establish what your 'maintenance' level calories is. Once I have this number, you will stay there for 2 weeks to see how your body reacts.

Phase 3 - is when you will enter a slight caloric deficit. This is where the magic happens and your fat starts coming off slowly while keeping your muscle alive. This is usually when your energy starts skyrocketing and you discover a world where you feel 'fulfilled' with your new meal plan and cravings are a thing of the past.

Phase 4 - is a combination of 'diet breaks' where you have certain weeks where you eat more. Combined with an easy form of 'Intermittent Fasting' that allows you to still feast at night while losing fat and building muscle. It's in this phase that your fat loss is at its' fastest, and both your strength levels and definition will amaze you every day.
If you hit a roadblock or get stuck in this program...
      Then that means you're human.

Building muscle and losing fat is simple. But that doesn't mean it's 'easy'.

Nothing worthwhile is. You're going to have moments where you'll need to leave your comfort zone.

But that's why you will have my coaching, and the support of your fellow Strong Life members. Indicate your struggles to me as soon as possible and I will help you overcome them so you can get right back on track.
      Once you Lose 20 pounds...
You will stay coaching with me for 2 weeks to make sure you're keeping it off.

Then you have the option of continuing the coaching, however you will have all the tools and knowledge to keep your journey going on your own. And you will be given instructions on how to 'taper off' your caloric deficit so you don't start losing muscle once you hit your goal weight and bodyfat %.

My goal with this program is that you make it a lifestyle, and you will have learned all the essentials so that you can become an awesome role model to your kids and husband.
      What are the requirements?
You must have access to basic weights. Either a big gym or basic garage setup with dumbells, a bench, and a pulley system will be fine.

You have to be 'coachable', meaning you run towards me and not from me. Be willing to learn and be open-minded to new methods you may not have tried before.

You must be in it for the 'long haul' and motivated to not only improve your physique, but your life overall. This is not a quick fix where you crash diet to your goal weight as fast as possible (and then gain it all back), this is real progress designed to stay with you for life.
